Christi Kubbe, Lori Eldrenkamp and Cathie Mosier, volunteers for the Festival of Trees, started setting up and decorating trees for the 19th annual Ottumwa Habitat for Humanity Festival of Trees at Pennsylvania Place. Committee chairwoman Judy Engle said there will be around 150 pieces in time for the festival this weekend, made up of wreaths, centerpieces and trees ranging from 8 inches to 10 feet tall. From 7-8:30 p.m. Friday, the gala opening will be presented with live music and refreshments. Tickets are $10. General admission will be from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday. Tickets are $3. There will also be children’s activities that morning as well as a cookie walk. The Village Shop, featuring handcrafted items and other gifts, will be open both Friday and Saturday.
