OSKALOOSA —
How many U.S. citizens know that the Affordable Healthcare Bill includes 20-21 taxes, among them one for people who don’t purchase health insurance plus an additional tax for each uninsured family member (Ch. 48, p. 145, sec. 5000A)? The IRS will employ 15-16,000 “police” to check who does not have health insurance. Also included is a 2.3 percent tax on medical devices levied on producers whether or not they make a profit. Some will be forced out of business.
Medicare fines for hospital readmissions within 30 days if there are “too many” will average $125,000 per facility this coming year. Look for the government to own the hospitals. Your medical history will be in government hands. Access to procedures you need will be decided by the government. How long before your case is reviewed? A doctor shortage exists, but who would invest years and dollars for medical education only to earn a government-dictated salary? I know doctors who don’t accept Medicare patients. What Medicare and your supplement don’t pay is your responsibility. How’s that for personal financial risk? Please read the Affordable Healthcare Bill. Estimate the employees needed to implement and to oversee it.
Welfare costs have soared, but Obama eliminated the need for workable welfare recipients to work. Who pays for welfare? I believe the Chinese Proverb: “Rather than give a poor man fish, teach him to fish.”
“When half of the people get the idea they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them, and when the working half gets the idea it does no good to work because someone else is going to get what they work for, that is the beginning of the end of any nation.” (author unknown)
If Obama gets to appoint Supreme Court justices, expect them to be left-leaning. Where is our, and the mainstream media’s, demand for a balance of power? Who will curb the spending of borrowed money? Consider the confusion of data concerning the Sept. 11 Libya attack and Obama’s comment to Russia’s president expressing that he’ll have more flexibility after the election. Flexibility to disarm us? Entrust him with a second term when he has no re-election worries?
“When someone shows you who they are, believe them the first time.” (Maya Angelou)
I believe to vote for someone who can’t win is a vote for Obama.
