All veterans should be honored

After reading last Wednesday’s paper, I was very much upset and disappointed with your coverage of the veterans.

All the memorials were featured except the Vietnam memorial. It seems to me that if you honor veterans that all should be included. The soldiers who fought in that war have always gotten the short end of the stick, I believe. They did what they were commanded to do, and it is not their fault that the war was not won. The fault lies on the president and on his decisions — just like what is happening in Afghanistan now. Our soldiers are truly the best of the best and risk their lives so that we can be free.

ALL veterans should be honored on Veterans Day!

I called your paper and talked to a fellow and he could not explain to me why that memorial was left out. He said, “Write a letter to the editor.” So, here it is.

Can you give me an answer on the omission of the Vietnam memorial?

Our soldiers, whether retired or active, need our support and prayers and especially our thanks for the brave jobs they do.

Like I said before, they are the best of the best! May God richly bless all of them.
