All the hysteria over guns and gun control are keeping emotions high as people worry about “the government” taking their rifles and pistols and shotguns away.
The government is not planning to take away your pistol you keep for personal protection, or your shotgun, or your hunting or target rifle.
They want to exert some control over military-type hardware — assault rifles and pistols which can hold 15 rounds, 30 rounds or more. Why does anyone need such armaments? To get a deer or plink tincans or protect your house? These weapons are efficient killing tools, nothing more.
I know I risk the wrath of all the NRA folks out there, but I stick by my guns (so to speak). I have several firearms, but not one AR-15 or AK-47, and have no desire to have one.
