OTTUMWA —
The cliff of children falls over daily without a dollar figure. Where does this stand in importance in the government list? Where does gun control stand in their regard? Where are strong penalties for abusers and other offenders? With the Newtown, Conn., school, we Americans share the sadness for children.
Let America stand for change! When Americans came to be, the first action taken was to pray. Americans are more than a title. We are pioneers of prayer, grit, courage, change and, most importantly, love. We hug more than any country, instantly ready to help daily and in disaster. From the beautiful state of Iowa, my Irish ancestors were a piece of “true grit,” from a star of our beloved flag. Each state of our country shines woven into action. Americans have many unseen heros each year.
Let us join together in unity, in respect of Newtown, to promote strong changes for every concern for children.
As Christmas nears, please reach out and touch a child with a gift and love from you.
