Sometimes not enough is said about our local assets. Our high school students are definitely a plus for our community. This past Thursday, my teachers’ sorority experienced a small taste of the upcoming OHS Holiday Concert. Eight Meistersingers practiced a few numbers for our entertainment. Not only was the performance great, but we were amazed at how professionally the Meistersingers conducted themselves. They were very assured, found their places and began without any instruction. Their voices filled the room in harmony and caused us to feel the goodness of the season. Mr. Vasconez and the Meistersingers are to be commended.
If these few songs are an example of what the concert this coming Sunday, Dec. 16, at 2 p.m. at the OHS auditorium will be, I recommend that Ottumwans make it a part of their holiday activities. Your holiday will be more special because you did.
