OTTUMWA —
The main thing is to keep the main thing the main thing.
Where have we gone wrong? What has happened to America? Ignoring the Lord and His Word seems to be at the top of the list (By the way, His Ten Commandments are not suggestions. Exodus 20.)
His wonderful words guard the family, protect public life and guide us in worship. The Lord does not wink at adultery, murder in any form or bearing false witness. And honoring father and mother is so passé these days!
We’d be wise to get back to the Good Book upon which our Republic was founded on. Really, that’s the main thing, wouldn’t you say?
Remember the words of “The Battle Hymn of the Republic” — “His truth is marching on!” That’s the main thing: His truth (John 14:6).
