OTTUMWA — The Jazz Underground, a collection of Midwest musicians specializing in original music and fresh performances of jazz standards, will be performing at 7:30 p.m. March 9 at St. John Auditorium on the Indian Hills Community College Ottumwa Campus. The concert is free and open to the public. The Jazz Underground is led by two IHCC music faculty: saxophonist and composer David Sharp and drummer Dennis McPartland. Also performing will be pianist Jason Danielson and bassist Jon Schwabe. The group will be performing music from their critically-acclaimed live CD recording entitled “Internal Dialogue.”
