OTTUMWA —
On Saturday, Hairball returns to the Bridge View Center for the second year in a row.
Hairball is the world’s ultimate ’80s Rockimpersonation act, recreating the good-time party atmosphere of the decadent decade with unmatched authenticity.
Hairbal’s unique dual frontman assault, featuring veteran vocalists Bobby Jensen and Kris Voxx, sets them apart from all other ’80s tributes. They cop the personas of the era’s legendary frontmen while rapidly changing elaborate costumes, then complete their transformations with dead-on visual and vocal performances. They alternate their stage time, bringing new characters to the stage every five to 10 minutes. For instance, while Bob has fans questioning whether or not he really is Paul Stanley from KISS, Kris is backstage preparing for his insanely accurate Twisted Sister spot. This relentless, rapid-fire style is constant, enabling Hairball to represent more than 20 of the 1980s biggest and most colorful rock ’n roll superheroes.
The core of Hairball consists of guitarist Happy, bassist Shawn “Sports” Pop and drummer Colt Python, all of whom are legitimate rock stars in their own right. Along with their enormous backline of amplifiers and mammoth drums, these guys outgun everybody in every department.
Reserved seats are now on sale at the Bridge View Center Box Office, all Ticketmaster outlets, online at www.ticketmaster.com or charge by phone 800-345-7000. General admission tickets are $18 in advance, $21 day of show.
