Britain’s The London Quartet, earlier known as Cantabile, will bring their outstanding program of comedy and classics to Fairfield at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 21 at the Sondheim Center for the Performing Arts, sponsored by the Fairfield Concert Association.
The London Quartet has been delighting audiences with their unique blend of humor and harmony for 26 years, counting 15 albums, more than 1,000 concerts and more than 200 TV appearances worldwide.
All four members of The London Quartet are classically trained singers who first came to prominence in the early 1980s in the musical “Blondel,” which ran for 400 performances in London’s West End.
With repertoire ranging from early polyphony through to cabaret, jazz and contemporary music, there is something for everyone as the groups invites the audience to share an evening of great singing, great songs and great fun.
Admission is by membership in the Fairfield Concert Association. Season memberships will be available at the door. Members of the reciprocating associations of Centerville, Ottumwa, Washington and Keokuk should present their current membership cards for admission.
