FAIRFIELD —
The Fairfield 1st Fridays Art Walk’s theme in March is “Youth Art: One Night Under One Roof.”
This event is a unique opportunity to view and experience the talent and creativity of Fairfield’s youth for one night under one roof from 6-9 p.m. at the Fairfield Public Library. No admission and open to the public, Art Walk’s Youth Art event will offer art, live music, mimes, improvisational acts, theater, delicious food and more.
More than 80 works of art from grades K-12 will be on display in the main library.
On the night of Art Walk there will be an artists reception with appetizers provided by the students of Heidi Grunwald’s Fairfield High School Home Sciences class.
There will also be musical performances by the students of FHS teachers Jim Edgeton, Zach Reiter and MSAE students of Tim Walker in the library throughout the evening.
The students of Kevin Hosbond, Fred Hucke and Ben Estey will demonstrate a variety of performing arts in the library’s meeting room. Performances will consist of Mime and Musical Theater, Readers Theater, Improv Groups and “Individual Speaker’s Night” performances.
