OTTUMWA —
Musician Cameron Steinbach of Ottumwa has entered a contest for a chance to play at Madison Square Garden at Eric Clapton’s Crossroads Music Festival in April.
Steinbach, 23, has been playing guitar since he was 10 years old. Music is his passion in life. He writes and produces his own original pieces and has performed with many other artists in the community. He is a versatile player but his specialties are blues and rock.
In order to perform in New York, Steinbach needs to create some buzz to get him in the top 100 artists on the playcrossroads.com website. He started the contest at the 2,420th position and has progressed steadily. He is now in the top 450 artists but needs to be in the top 100 for a shot at the prize.
Cameron gets a buzz rating for Facebook likes, tweets, comments on the Play Crossroads page and plays on his original songs.
The address for the Play Crossroads contest is:

The address for his Facebook page is:

The Crossroads site has Steinbach’s songs available for the public to listen to as well as a place to leave comments and show their support for this musician.
