FAIRFIELD —
Bring in the new year with one of blues newest up-and-coming stars, Samantha Fish, at 7 p.m. Jan. 4, 2013, at the Fairfield Arts and Convention Center.
Fish’s sultry voice, energetic presence and intense guitar skills make her “a force to reckon with” as proved by her win of this year’s Blues Music Award for Best New Artist Debut.
Fish may be young but at age 22, this Kansas City native has already shared the stage with blues’ greats such as Tommy Castro, Shirley King, Watermelon Slim, Cedric Burnside, Tab Benoit and Kenny Neal.
Opening for Samantha Fish is the Quay Thomas Band.
Tickets are $12 in advance and available from any Southeast Iowa Blues Society member or at KMCD radio during regular business hours or $15 at the door.
