The Southeast Iowa Blues Association is bringing international blues award winner Samantha Fish to the Fairfield Area Convention Center on Jan. 4.
Fish, a 22-year-old Kansas City native, was named earlier this year as the BMA 2012 Best New Artist Debut for her album “Runaway.”
Fish opens the SIBS 2013 event schedule after she wraps up her current tour in Texas. Within the last few months she played on the Legendary Rhythm and Blues Cruise in the Caribbean and toured Europe’s Blues Festival Circuit.
New blues/indie rock performer Quay Thomas will turn 18 just two days before the Jan. 4 event. The Quay Thomas Band will perform at 7 p.m. Jan. 4 as the opening entertainment for Fish, who will take the stage at 8 p.m.
Advance tickets for Jan. 4 are available now for $12 through any SIBS member or at the KMCD studios in Fairfield. Tickets will be available at the door the night of the concert for $15.
