FAIRFIELD —
Tommy Castro, the B.B. King Entertainer of the Year and one of the most successful blues musicians in the world, plays the Sondheim Center at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 25.
Castro is famed not only for his hard-hitting, impassioned vocals, soaring guitar work and his blues-infused, rocking R&B sound, but also for his striking, original songwriting and exhilarating stage show. Supporting Tommy Castro and the Painkillers is Fairfield’s own blues band, the Riverdogs.
In addition to being named Blues Entertainer of the Year in 2010, Tommy Castro has earned the same nomination for 2012 along with Band of the Year, Contemporary Blues Male Artist of the Year and Contemporary Blues Album of the Year.
Reserved tickets for Tommy Castro and the Painkillers are $23 and available at the Fairfield Arts and Convention Center Ticket Office, 641-472-2787 and www.FairfieldACC.com.
