Starting on Saturday, December 15th, the Ottumwa Courier will launch an exact digital replica of the Ottumwa Courier with the hope of keeping our snowbirds in touch with what's going on at home while they are gone and offering alternative delivery methods to our current subscribers.



Most of you receive a copy of the courier delivered to your doorstep, this can change. If you would like to change your subscription to a digital one you can access any time, any place please send an to eopinions@ottumwacourier.com, and I would be happy to set up an account.



If you would like have both a print and e-edition we can do that too! Just send me an email with your desired username and password.

Q. Do print subscribers get the e-edition free?



A. No. However, print subscribers can add the service for as little as .72 cents a week. Pricing for current print plus e-edition subscribers are as follows:

Q. How much to order the e-edition only?



A. $10 per month payable by Visa, Master, Discover, Amex or Checking/Savings account. E-Edition subscription must be paid in advance BEFORE service can start.



Q. Can I purchase the e-edition for 1 day?



A. No! You can purchase the e-edition for 1 month at a time only.



Q How is the e-edition accessed?



A. The e-edition can be accessed by going to http://ee.ottumwacourier.com or going to the Ottumwa Courier website and clicking on the e-edition link at the top of the website.



Q. How do I get a login and password set up to use the e-edition?



A. You can help the customer with selecting a user name and password. The user name must be digits (up to 10) with the password of at least 3 letters. After the user name settles on this information – pass the account information to me and I will get it set up in the system so they can access the e-edition.



Q. I forgot my username and/or password or need to update by email address?



A. User names and passwords will be kept in the Vision data system. Do a normal search for that customer in the subscriber database. When you find the account type in INT and the internet section will pop up: User name will be kept in #1 (It says fax # but will be username) and internet password will be kept at #4. Email addresses will be kept in area #2.



Q. What internet speeds work best for the e-edition?



A. We recommend high speed internet i.e. DSL, cable, satellite, etc. We do not recommend dial up internet. If you have dial up you can still access the site by download times are really, really slow!



Q. Any special software in order to view the e-edition?



A. Yes, must have adobe reader which can be downloaded for free at http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html
