OTTUMWA —
Absentee ballots are now available to be mailed for the Nov. 6 general election. Voters in Wapello County who will be unable to go to the polls on Election Day may cast an absentee ballot.
Votes may be cast at the Wapello County Auditor's Office now through Monday. Those who wish to have the ballot mailed, have until 5 p.m. Friday to have the written request to the auditor’s office. Absentee ballots mailed must be postmarked by midnight Nov. 5 or hand delivered to the auditor’s office before the polls close on Election Day.
Meanwhile, the Wapello County Auditor's Office will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Satuday for absentee voting and other election business.
Meanwhile, voters in Wapello County wishing to cast a ballot on Election Day should vote at one of the following locations between 7 a.m. and 9 p.m. Nov. 6.
