Polling information for Wapello County

OTTUMWA — Absentee ballots are now available to be mailed for the Nov. 6 general election. Voters in Wapello County who will be unable to go to the polls on Election Day may cast an absentee ballot.

Votes may be cast at the Wapello County Auditor's Office now through Monday. Those who wish to have the ballot mailed, have until 5 p.m. Friday to have the written request to the auditor’s office. Absentee ballots mailed must be postmarked by midnight Nov. 5 or hand delivered to the auditor’s office before the polls close on Election Day.

Meanwhile, the Wapello County Auditor's Office will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Satuday for absentee voting and other election business.

Meanwhile, voters in Wapello County wishing to cast a ballot on Election Day should vote at one of the following locations between 7 a.m. and 9 p.m. Nov. 6.

• Adams and Polk townships, city of Blakesburg: Blakesburg City Hall, 101 State St.

• Agency and Pleasant townships, city of Agency: Agency Community Center, 102 W. Main St.

• Cass Township, city of Chillicothe: Chillicothe City Hall, 201 Main St.

• Center Township: First Pentecostal Assembly of God Church, 733 Church St.

• Columbia Township, city of Eddyville: Eddyville Public Library, 202 Second St.

• Competine and Highland townships: Highland Center Township Hall, 9906 Highland Center Road

• Dahlonega Township: IHCC Video Conference Training Center, 525 Grandview Ave.

• Green Township: Zion Community Church, 15714 Copperhead Road

• Keokuk Township: Hickory Grove Community Church, 3929 Highway 63.

• Richland Township, city of Kirkville: Kirkville City Hall, 101 W. Main St.

• Washington Township, city of Eldon: Eldon Library Hall, 608 W. Elm St.

• Ottumwa Precinct 1: Penn Ave. Free Methodist Church, 820 E. Pennsylvania Ave.
