OTTUMWA —
Public hearings top the agenda for the Wapello County Board of Supervisors when they meet next week.
First up will be the hearing on the budget estimate for fiscal year 2014 (July 1, 2013, to June 30, 2014).
The second public hearing will be later in the supervisors’ meeting. This hearing will be for the hog confinement feeding operations located in Sections 12 and 13 in Washington Township, not far from Batavia.
Katy Anderson is scheduled to talk with the supervisors about an update on the Historic Hills Scenic Byway. A few weeks ago, Anderson could not share her information due to inclement weather.
The supervisors will also discuss the canvass of a special election held this week in the city of Eldon on the extension of the Local Option Sales Tax.
The board members will also deal with two resolutons. One will set a date for a budget amendment public hearing and the other concerns a financial commitment.
A memorandum of understanding between Wapello County and the E911 Service Board will also be discussed by the board.
Also on the agenda are a letter from Anderson, Larkin & Co. The letter pertains to the county’s June 30, 2013, audit.
The board will meet at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Wapello County Courthouse. The meeting is open to the public.
