Narcotics investigation results in searches in Eddyville, Lovilia

EDDYVILLE — While no arrests have yet been made, items seized at an Eddyville house and a Lovilia farm property were found to be related to narcotics distribution.

Sgt. Jason Bell of the Southeast Iowa Inter-Agency Drug Task Force said officers executed two search warrants at approximately 6:30 a.m. Thursday, one at a house located at 203 Berdan Street in Eddyville and the other at a farm property at 1212 630th Ave. in Lovilia.

The investigations are connected, Bell said, though he could not comment on circumstances of the case due to the ongoing investigation.

“As of this time, there have not been any arrests or charges filed in the case,” Bell said. “Items seized from each location were consistent with the distribution of narcotics.”
