KNOXVILLE —
Two men convicted of sexual abuse in Marion County were sentenced to prison on Friday.
Former Pella pastor Patrick Edouard was convicted of four counts of sexual exploitation by a counselor or therapist and one count of entering into a pattern/scheme of exploitation by a therapist. Edouard, 43, was sentenced to one year in prison on each of the exploitation counts and five years on the ongoing charge.
The individual sentences per exploitation count will be served consecutively, and the sentence on the pattern charge will run concurrently with those.
Joshua Michael Klein, 20, was sentenced to an indeterminate prison sentence not to exceed 20 years.
The sentence came after Klein pleaded guilty to three counts of sexual abuse in the third degree. Klein will be required to register as a sex offender, provide a DNA sample, complete sex offender treatment and will remain on parole for the rest of his life.
Klein was convicted on having sexually abusing a 14-year-old girl between April and July of 2012.
