OTTUMWA — Just when you thought winter might be over, here it comes again.
Southern Iowa is under a winter storm watch as an unusually late storm makes its way across the Midwest. The worst of the storm is expected to hit as a band through central Missouri, but southern Iowa could see 3-6 inches of snow by Sunday night.
It's enough to make you want to sue a certain groundhog.
Whatever snow the area sees, it shouldn't last long. Monday's high is back into the upper 30s and it should be close to 50 degrees by Thursday. While that will seem quite warm, it's really just a return to normal.
