OTTUMWA — Lisa M. Farley, 40, of Ottumwa, died Tuesday, April 18, 2007, at the home of her sister.
Lisa was born Nov. 23, 1966 in Ottumwa, to James and Betty Jacks Garrett. She married Tim Farley on June 17, 1995 in Ottumwa.
Lisa is survived by her husband, Tim; son, PJ and daughter, Zenaya, both at home; two brothers, Jim (Sharon) Garrett and David (Michelle) Garrett; and a sister, Cindy O’Brien (Greg) all of Ottumwa; and eight nieces and nephews.
Lisa was affiliated with the Nazarene Church. She was a graduate of Ottumwa High School in 1985. She had been very active in the Douma School PTO, having served as president in the past. She had recently opened her own craft shop, ‘Moose Lodge Crafts’ which she enjoyed very much. She had done private craft shows for several years. She was also in charge of running the sound equipment for her husband’s entertainment shows. Her joy was being a wife, mother, and spending time with family and friends.
There was a ‘Candlelight Vigil’ held in her honor at Douma School on Tuesday night.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Earl and Daisy Jacks and Edward and Myrtle Garrett.
Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m., Saturday, April 21 at the Trinity Church of the Nazarene with Revs. Grover Branson and Gene Smith officiating.
Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. Friday at the Johnson Funeral Chapel with the family present from 4-6 p.m.
Burial will be in Memorial Lawn Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family for their children’s college educations.
